Australian pop twins The Veronicas are singing South Australia’s praises.
For starters, Jess and Lisa Origliasso, are rocking local label Couture+Love+Madness in this stunning image – to promote their new single Ugly.
And in another show of SA talent, the photo was styled by Adelaide-born Nicole Bonython Hines and photographed by Carlotta Moye.
The Veronicas will also be here to get next year’s Santos Tour Down Under wheels rolling with a free concert in Victoria Square.
The chart toppers will kickstart the TDU Festival of Cycling with a gig at the Tour Village on January 18, following the official team presentations.
The annual event is held the day before the traditional race prelude, the Schwalbe Classic in the city, and ahead of the men’s first stage on January 21. The women’s tour begins on January 16 at Hahndorf.
Jess said the duo, whose new MTV reality show, Blood is for Life, for which Ugly is the theme song, premiered on Foxtel this week, are excited to return to one of their “favourite” places.
“We can’t wait to bring our show to the outdoors of Adelaide. It’s one of our favourite cities in the world,” she said.
“We’ll be previewing new music from our album, and we can’t wait to celebrate the wine and the architecture. It’s some of the most special in the world”.
It’s been a busy time for the twins, who have allowed cameras to follow them around the world, from their home in Queensland to their life touring the world.
The singers also made national headlines in September when they were deemed security risks and booted from a Qantas plane after allegedly refusing to place their luggage in the overhead bin.
Santos Tour Down Under team presentations will begin at 6.30pm and The Veronicas will perform from 8.30pm.
Next year’s Tour will be held from January 16-26.
