HER predecessors include Miranda Kerr, Rachael Taylor, Ruby Rose and Samara Weaving, now Bonds is cashing in on the “insta famous” model, enlisting influencer turned Aussie It-Girl, Inka Williams.
Williams, who was born in Australia and raised in Bali, has amassed more than one million followers thanks to her fashion savvy posts and lust-worthy life, which is why the brand has enlisted her as the face of its new New Era collection — a streetwear-inspired collection with a nod to the 90s.
“I feel so lucky that they chose me, as the collection fits in pretty well with my personal style,” says 18-year-old Williams who has been branded the Gigi Hadid of Bali.
“The collection reminded me of a market in Bali where I find the best streetwear.”
Despite making a name for herself on social media, the IMG model said she doesn’t have much time for the medium which made her famous.
“I don’t use social media a lot,” she said. “I just think there is a limit to what should be put on it.
“Some things can be empowering. If it is natural and not provocative then it can also be a beautiful way to show your confidence, but you have to be careful.
“Right now I am really focusing on upgrading my portfolio. I want to shoot with a bunch of photographers I love.”
