Adelaide’s Kassandra Clementi makes the most of second Hollywood stint
Adelaide-born actress Kassandra Clementi is making the most of her second stint in Hollywood after recently “sneaking” back to SA.
KASSANDRA Clementi is making the most of her second stint in Hollywood.
The Adelaide-born actress first moved to Los Angeles eight years ago to star alongside Queen Latifah in TV series Single Ladies but homesickness brought her back to Australia.
After a three-year run on Seven soap Home and Away, Kassandra returned to LA in 2016, and hit the big time on popular TV show UnREAL, and on US docudrama Becoming Bond with fellow Aussie Josh Lawson.
“It’s starting to feel like home. Obviously home is where the heart is, and that’s Australia. But for now, while it still makes sense, I’m calling LA home … momentarily,” she laughs.
Kassandra, 28, says the continuing success of Aussie actors in Hollywood, including fellow South Aussie Damon Herriman, is “really nice to see”.
“I see so many fellow Aussies over there kicking goals and I couldn’t be more proud,” she says.
Briefly back in Australia as part of her role as lifestyle brand Sunnylife’s first-ever ambassador, Kassandra says she found time to “sneak back to Adelaide” and catch up with family and friends.
“I could never come to Australia and not find the time to come to the motherland of Adelaide,” she says. “I’m just so lucky to be able to travel around … and somehow call that work, I’m so lucky.
“I’ll definitely be back to lap up the summer. I like to drive all the way up the coast and see which beach is most empty and go to that one.”
