Cult TV footy show The Front Bar is going on the road for the first time, broadcasting from SA next month to celebrate AFL’s inaugural Gather Round.
Mick Molloy, Andy Maher and Sam Pang will head to Adelaide Oval for the live show on April 12, opening Seven’s coverage of round five, which will be held entirely in SA.
Co-host Molloy said he can’t wait to travel interstate for Gather Round.
“Keep it under your hat, there may be some outstanding warrants for my arrest over there,’’ Molloy said.
“I love travelling to South Australia. I’ll be bringing fruit over in my boot anyway, so it’s a good excuse to watch some footy as well.”
Local fans can also secure tickets to watch the Oval live show, with more information to be revealed on the program in coming weeks.
Adelaide and Carlton will kick-off Gather Round at Adelaide Oval on Thursday, April 13.
Powerhouse Richmond will take on last season’s runner-up Sydney there 24 hours later, before the venue will stage two weekend double-headers.
The city ground will be the centrepiece for the new event, which will feature all 18 clubs playing in South Australia from April 13-16.
Norwood Oval will hold two matches, while Hills town Mount Barker will have one.
