WHAT the hell happened to Kevin Bacon’s face?

That’s the question the actor’s shocked Twitter followers were asking overnight, after the Footloose star posted a rather bloated selfie.

“Greetings from the UK!” he wrote, alongside a picture of his swollen, plump face.

A much fitter and trimmer Bacon was pictured at the premiere of the film Adult Beginners in Hollywood just weeks ago.

But rather than a case of rapid weight gain, the actor’s inflated mug is a simple case of prosthetics and makeup.

It’s not known what for though — Bacon hasn’t elaborated on the role that required a fuller face. British media have speculated it could be an advertisement for a TV company.
