Alyssa Milano says friend Georgina Chapman is holding up, despite the ongoing fallout from her estranged husband Harvey Weinstein‘s sexual harassment and assault scandal.
“Georgina is doing very well,” Milano said on Megyn Kelly Today on Wednesday. “She’s an amazing mother. She’s an amazing woman. I think her priority right now is focusing on how to raise those two children to the best of her capacity, given the situation.”
Milano served as a judge on Project Runway All Stars alongside Chapman.
Marchesa designer Chapman does have her down days, though, Milano said.
“She goes through very dark times. She’s very sad,” Milano continued. “This is not easy for her, but I have no doubt that not only will she come out on the other side of this, but she deserves to. She’s a good woman.”
Chapman, who kept a low profile after announcing she would be leaving the disgraced movie mogul, resurfaced in her native England in November. At the time of their separation, Chapman said in a statement: “My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time.”
The Post reported last month that both Weinstein and Chapman have hired hotshot divorce lawyers. They share two children.
