AFTER two weeks of clean eating and working out, British singer Sam Smith has shown off the first results of his fitness kick.
The Grammy Award-winning performer took to Instagram to reveal he has lost seven kilograms in just 14 days after “completely transforming my relationship with food”.
Smith, 22, credits his transformation to working with nutritional therapist Amelia Freer, whose book Eat, Nourish, Glow he urged his 3.2 million followers to read.
And the crooner is absolutely glowing in his recent snaps.
“It’s not even about weight loss — it’s about feeling happy in yourself,” Smith wrote. “Love you Amelia, and thank you for making me feel so happy inside and out.”
Freer’s book is marketed as featuring tips on losing weight, feeling healthier and looking younger by avoiding bad eating habits.
It also encourages users to steer clear of fad diets, instead adopting a simple approach to cooking with a nutritional but uncomplicated eating plan.
Smith has taken to the idea with gusto and taken his social media fans along for the ride.
The Stay With Me singer’s Instagram feed of late has been filled with images of his healthy meals and a few selfies in the gym.
He has previously spoken about battles with his weight and insecurity about his body, explaining that being a “bigger man” in the gay community can be tough.
“There’s also a lot of body dysmorphia in the gay community, which means if you’re not toned and skinny it can be awful,” Smith told The Sun.
