EVEN a rain-soaked polo field couldn’t deter guests from donning their finest frocks and descending upon Centennial Park in Sydney for this year’s Polo in the City on Saturday.
The likes of Sally Fitzgibbons, Phil Waugh, Erin Holland, Catriona Rowntree and Kate Waterhouse braved the unseasonably wild weather for the VIP event, which officially kicked off the Land Rover Polo in the City series happening around the country in November and December over five weeks and in five states.
Celebrating the event’s 10th hurrah, the Land Rover marquee looked like something out of the Hamptons this year, with sundeck furniture and sprawling wooden verandas. There were even two tiny polo ponies tethered to the white picket fence named “Rangie” and “Rover”.
The luxury car brand partners with equestrian events all around the world, including the British Polo Day to the World Equestrian Games held in Normandy, France.
Check out some of this year’s guests who headed to Centennial Park to stomp the muddy divots, Pretty Woman style.
