Seth Rogen stinks up office with pot habit
IT’S office pot-litics. Seth Rogen’s marijuana habit is causing big problems in his office building.
CALL it a stinky situation.
Amy Pascal, the former Sony Pictures co-chair whose emails were embarrassingly leaked last year, is in the throws of moving jobs and offices. But it’s being held up by one thing: Seth Rogen’s love of marijuana.
The executive’s change of office has been delayed because the suite she’s set to take over reeks of pot thanks to its most recent occupants, Rogen and his “Interview” directing partner Evan Goldberg, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Sources told the magazine that the offices will be repainted in an attempt to get rid of the smell, as the stench had seeped into the flooring, with some saying they could smell it two floors away. It stinks so bad that over-the-counter solutions such as Febreze were completely useless, sources said.
While one source downplayed the marijuana aspect, saying Rogen and Goldberg hadn’t been using the offices long enough to cause damage, others told The Hollywood Reporter that neighbours had long complained of the smell of cannabis coming from their first-floor offices during their time there.
One frequent visitor even claimed that the lingering fumes could be smelled all the way on the third floor of the building. Cleaning crews must now apparently come in and use industrial-strength solutions to take out the relentless aroma.
Until the smell is gone, Pascal will move into a temporary office, while her replacement at Sony Pictures, Tom Rothman, moves into her current space.
But Rogen, 32, has come out and slammed the report on Instagram:
Pascal, who shouldered much of the blame for the embarrassing Sony email hack, announced she was stepping down from her roles as co-chairman of Sony Pictures and chairwoman of the Motion Pictures Group early last month.
