RUSSELL Brand and his fiance Laura Gallacher have welcomed their first child into the world.

The 41-year-old comedian reportedly made the announcement during a performance in the UK over the weekend.

A fan at the gig told The Mirror: “He didn’t confirm if it was a girl or a boy.”

“He was conscious of the clock and made sure he was off stage by just approaching 9pm as he said ‘my girlfriend has just had a baby.’”

Brand, who was once famously married to Katy Perry, proposed to 27-year-old Gallacher earlier this year.

In a recent interview with Evening Standard magazine, he gushed about his excitement at becoming a father for the first time.

“I feel lit up by the idea. I’m very excited about becoming a dad and I’m preparing myself. I am just getting ready to be with a new little person and see what it is they want,” he told them.

The former bad boy has settled into a quieter life in recent years, telling Jonathan Ross he’s now living a “rural life out in the country.”

It’s world’s away from his high-profile marriage to pop star Katy Perry, whom he wed in 2010 but divorced just two years later.

It’s believed he and fiancee Gallacher had been in an on-off relationship for years.

After their first romance ended in 2007, they were again linked in 2009, before reuniting last year during a romantic trip to Rome.
