Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank have left London’s Portland Hospital with their newborn son, just days after his arrival.
The baby is the couple’s first child and Prince Andrew and the Duchess of York’s first grandchild.
Eugenie and Brooksbank are yet to announce the name they have bestowed on their son, who was born on at 7.55pm on February 9, Australian time, weighing 3.6kg.
The princess was seen waving and smiling to cameras as she left the hospital. She sat in the back seat with their baby safely secured in a car seat, while her husband drove the family home.
MEGHAN, HARRY’S SWEET MESSAGE TO EUGENIE
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have privately congratulated Princess Eugenie on the birth of her first child.
The Californian-based couple were said to have “privately” contacted Eugenie, 30, and her husband Jack Brooksbank, 34, according to British magazine Hello!.
Princess Eugenie gave birth to a baby boy – her first child with Brooksbank, a wine merchant and ambassador for the George Clooney-founded tequila brand Casa Migos.
The couple are said to be “overjoyed” at the newborn’s arrival, whose name is yet to be made public. “Arthur” and “James” are the punters’ picks for the bub, who is 11th in line to the throne.

Both mother and baby are said to be doing well, royal sources said.
Buckingham Palace announced the happy news in a statement early today, Australian-time.
“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 0855hrs at The Portland Hospital. Jack Brooksbank was present,” a Buckingham Palace statement said. “The baby weighs 8lbs 1oz.”
“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news.”
Princess Eugenie posted a picture of her and her husband’s fingers holding onto the baby’s tiny hand, along with three blue love hearts as the caption.
Princess Eugenie gave birth at the same $35,000 a night hospital, the Portland in London, where Meghan Markle delivered her and Prince Harry’s son Archie Harrison in 2019.
Eugenie and Jack are very close to Meghan and Harry, even living at their former home, Frogmore Cottage.
And they were also married in St George’s Chapel, the same venue as Meghan and Prince Harry.
It was reported that Princess Eugenie and Mr Brooksbank would move back into Frogmore Cottage after the birth.
That home is near Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, where Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, who have divorced, both live.
Buckingham Palace added: “This is Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s first child, The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York’s first grandchild, and the ninth great-grandchild for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.
“Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”
Prince Charles and Camilla said: “Congratulations to Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank on the birth of their son.”
The Duchess of Cambridge’s brother James Middleton said: “Such wonderful news”.
Princess Eugenie was also born at the Portland Hospital.
The couple announced the pregnancy in September 2020, with Princess Eugenie saying “Jack and I are so excited for early 2021,” in a post on Instagram.
The couple met at posh ski resort Verbier in Switzerland in 2010.
