MATT Damon has a ponytail. Yes, a ponytail.
The actor, 44, debuted the jaw-dropping new look at a press conference for The Great Wall in Beijing, China.
This isn’t a greasy Leonardo DiCaprio-esque man bun, either, as the Behind the Candelabra star appears to have fully dedicated himself to the look: His golden tresses reach his shoulder, even when pulled back.
The new ‘do appears to be for The Great Wall, which has been filming in Beijing in recent months, according to the Daily Mail. The actor plays a mercenary in search of treasure in the 15th-century-set sci-fi flick.
Whatever the reason, it’s a marked departure from Damon’s normally close-shorn look. The Great Wall, which co-stars legendary Hong Kong pop star-turned-actor Andy Lau, is due out next year.
