Mel Gibson’s ex ‘demanding $100k a month in child support’

MEL Gibson’s Russian ex-girlfriend is reportedly demanding $1.2 million a year in child support to fund her lavish lifestyle.

MEL Gibson’s baby mamma is reportedly demanding a 400 per cent increase in monthly child support.

Russian-born Oksana Grigorieva has asked a judge to increase the 60-year-old actor’s monthly payments from $US20,000 ($26,000) to more than $US100,000 a month (or $US1.2 million a year), according to TMZ.

Grigorieva, a pianist, claims she needs more than $US10,000 a month for security, although she has not specified how six-year-old Lucia is at risk.

The entertainment website also claims the 46-year-old is seeking a payment bump to maintain her lavish lifestyle.

The estranged couple is reportedly set to go to trial over the demand.

Grigorieva and Gibson split in 2010 after Grigorieva claimed the Braveheart star attacked her at their Malibu home. Gibson eventually pleaded no contest to a misdemeanour battery charge.

“At the time when it happened to me I was afraid to ask for help, in the grip of blinding fear,” Grigorieva told RadarOnline.com in 2013.

“I wished I had had someone’s help at that time. But I didn’t. Often, the victims of domestic violence are made to feel as if it was their fault, when it was not.”
