Meghan Markle’s half-sister Samantha has sent the Duchess of Sussex a stern New Year’s message, with advice on how she should conduct herself in 2019.
In an interview with The Daily Star, she said Meghan’s New Year’s resolution should be to “pay tribute” to those who have helped her the most, “such as her dad.”
“Thank him for your college education, your career, building every stage you set foot on, but really appreciate the people that care about you,” she said.
She add that she hoped Meghan will “count her blessings and reflect moving forward in the new year “and “pay that gratitude forward to your children so that they also thank you”.
She said that Meghan should “carry on the family legacy” in reference to her unborn child, which is due in the Spring.
She said that Meghan should “eat more chocolate” to “sweeten her disposition”.
It comes after reports that Samantha was put on a secret list by police who are guarding Meghan from her “fixated” half-sister.
Samantha lashed out at the reports, saying they are “fake news”, in a tweet.
She said the claims she is “fixated” is “ridiculous”.
She also tweeted that she was “‘advocating for doing the right thing by our dad”, Thomas Markle.
According to The Sunday Times in the UK, Samantha Markle, who lives in Florida, is understood to have been included on a “fixated persons list” by the police royalty and specialist protection unit.

Officers have flagged the “reputational risk” that the outspoken 53-year-old poses to the royal family. She has been classified as a “fixated” person who has an “obsessional preoccupation” with the pregnant Meghan.
Samantha, who has multiple sclerosis and uses a wheelchair, has made a series of verbal attacks on former actor Meghan, since her engagement to Prince Harry was announced last year, including calling her a “Duch-ass” on Twitter.
She arrived unannounced at Kensington Palace in October then sent a heavily publicised Christmas card calling for a family truce.
Meghan’s personal protection officers are believed to have briefed detectives from Scotland Yard’s Fixated Threat Assessment Centre (FTAC) about the embarrassment that Samantha could cause for the royal family if she continues to lash out.
The FTAC’s website describes fixated people as “those who have an obsessional preoccupation (often delusional) with a person or a perceived grievance, which they pursue to an irrational degree”.
A Scotland Yard source told The Times: “You can’t protect someone like the Duchess of Sussex without knowing the background of her family. But someone like Samantha presents a risk rather than a threat. She is not committing criminal offences, but she is causing concerns for the royal family.
“There is big potential for some major embarrassment for the royals. Samantha could make a scene and create headlines with her actions — and let’s face it she’s kind of already done that.”
A source told The Times that the FTAC does not use intrusive surveillance methods and techniques and that “much of the intelligence relating to Samantha’s pattern of unwanted and persistent behaviour would have been informed by the Duchess herself during briefings with her protection officers”.
The latest drama came as Kensington Palace released a three-minute video showing their “favourite moments” from 2018.
The so-called fab four — Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle — have been dogged by rumours they are embroiled in a tense feud.
If that’s the case, the Kensington Palace video could add fuel to the fire, with Meghan making 31 appearances in the clip, compared to the Duchess of Cambridge, who is shown 23 times.
The video features footage from Harry and Meghan’s wedding in May and their royal tour of Australia. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are shown at various charity events as well as their red-carpet appearance at the Baftas in February.
The couple are also shown on the steps of the Lido Wing cradling their third child Prince Louis.
