Madonna reunites with estranged son amid custody battle

HAVE the Queen of Pop’s prayers for a reconciliation been answered? A recent photo on Instagram seems to indicate yes.

MADONNA has given the strongest hint yet that she has finally made peace with her son Rocco after months of estrangement.

The singer has shared an adorable picture of herself with her arms wrapped around the 15-year-old.

Her sweet Instagram message comes after the pair recently reunited in London in a bid to mend their fractured relationship, reports The Sun.

Madonna added the cute photo to her social media page yesterday.

She added in a caption: “We need!” with a heart emoticon.

The snap shows Rocco grinning as his mum leans her face on his shoulder and wraps her arms around him.

The “Like A Virgin” star spent months apart from the 15-year-old after he walked off her tour last year and flew to London to stay with his dad, Guy Ritchie.

Mother and son recently reunited in London in a bid to end a bitter custody battle that erupted with ex-husband Guy.

However, the pop veteran eventually returned to New York without Rocco.

Madonna spent some quality time in London with Rocco, taking him to celebrity hotspot Chiltern Firehouse and on an outing to the cinema.

Rocco appeared to become fed up during his mother’s visit and was pictured hiding out under a bridge with pals.

The teenager was snapped smoking a suspicious-looking cigarette and swigging from a bottle of cider.

Mother and son were later seen enjoying more outings together, and they appeared to have put the bad blood behind them

Madonna now appears to have confirmed the relationship is back on track in her tender Instagram post yesterday.

She also added a beautiful family portrait featuring her adopted children David and Mercy.

Madonna adopted David and Mercy from Malawi, and she also has another daughter, Lourdes, from a previous relationship.

She married British director Guy in 2000, just months after they became parents to son Rocco earlier that year.

They divorced in 2008, and Guy went on to marry model Jacqui Ainsley, the mother of his three children, in 2015.

Rocco left Madonna’s tour in December, sparking a bitter custody battle between the singer and Guy.

The pop superstar soon began showing the strain of the legal wrangling as she started showing up hours late to her shows, and was even accused of drinking on stage.

The Rebel Heart tour concluded in Sydney last month, and Madonna then made fixing her relationship with Rocco her top priority.
