MADONNA, who teamed up with Kanye West for her new album, has labelled the rapper a “beautiful mess” who “takes things too seriously”.
The Material Girl, 56, has told Rolling Stone magazine that he Yeesus star needs to chill out when he is at awards shows.
West famously stormed the stage during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards while Taylor Swift was accepting her award for Best Female Video, taking the microphone and insisting that Beyonce should have won for her Single Ladies video.
Then last month, West followed Beck onstage at the Grammy Awards after he won Album Of The Year.
West said later “Beck needs to respect artistry, he should have given his award to Beyoncé.”
That part of him I can’t relate to,” Madonna said, talking about West. “Like, what’s the point of fighting for somebody to ... like, ‘’This person should have got it?’’ ... I think sometimes he takes things too seriously.”
“He can’t help himself. Like, he doesn’t have the same filters other people have,” she continued.
“He has to blurt things out, he’s always saying inappropriate stuff. But he also has brilliant ideas, if you can get him to pay attention long enough, working with him in the studio.”
Madonna collaborated with West for her new song Illuminati on her album Rebel Heart.
