Kyle Sandilands has surprised followers with his softer side, posting a video of him singing to his baby boy Otto on Christmas Day.
The shock jock, 51, posted the sweet footage days after he “saved his son’s life” from a “choking hazard” after noticing he was playing with an unsafe toy.
In the snippet shared on the Kyle and Jackie O Instagram page, the Australian Idol judge sang The Christmas Song to his five-month-old son, planting a kiss on his cheek then smiling to the camera.
As his son wriggled in his arms, Sandilands joked: “Where are you going? You’re going to ruin the video.”
He captioned the post: “Otto’s first Christmas. Have the best day everyone!”

Fans of the controversial KIIS FM star flocked to comment on the video, sharing how much they loved seeing him in dad mode.
“Never seen Kyle like this,” one said as another joked, “Daddy Kyle unlocked.”
“Watching Kyle as a dad is gorgeous,” another wrote.
Sandilands and his fiancee Tegan Kynaston, 36, welcomed baby Otto on August 9 this year.
Last week, Sandilands revealed his “horror” on discovering his son had been playing with a recalled baby rattle.
“So I was reading that there was a recall on a particular baby rattle that is a choking hazard,” he told fans on December 19.
“I glanced down at my child and to my horror it was in his mouth so I snatched it away and saved his life.”
The toy was recalled after Product Safety Australia discovered it does not comply with the size and shape safety requirements for toys for children up to 36 months of age.
Gigil beechwood baby rattle poses a “choking or suffocation hazard for young children, which can lead to severe injury or death,” the organisation warned, urging parents to “destroy the product” and seek a full refund.
The item was sold through the Gigil Gift Shop on Etsy from February 10, 2022, to December 1, 2022.
