Palace sources say King Charles and Prince William are primed and ready to respond to any “unjust” claims made in Harry and Meghan’s series.

King Charles and Prince William are reportedly prepared for the worst as Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary looms.

As reported by The Mirror, the father and son duo met this week to discuss a plan of attack, briefing aides to be ready to issue a “robust” response to any “unjust” allegations made by the renegade pair.

According to the publication, officials from both Buckingham and Kensington Palaces will watch the first three episodes when they drop at 7pm AEDT tonight, which is 8am Thursday in the UK.

However, they are unlikely to issue a statement until the second half of the six part series is released next Thursday, to “have the full picture”.

Despite ominous trailers for the series, according to The Mirror, the Royal Family are not convinced there will be many explosive revelations to worry about.

However, the Palace is primed and ready to hit back should the need arise.

“There’s a real feeling in the camp that Harry and Meghan are making a lot of noise and there isn’t much more to say,” the source said.

“But preparations are being made for all outcomes, especially if there are unjust accusations being made.”

According to the Mail on Sunday, Charles and Camilla were “not worried” but “wearied” by the two trailers released ahead of the premiere, which hint more criticism will be levelled at the monarchy by the US-based Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

This week, Harry and Meghan spoke of “sweeping down walls of oppression” while being honoured with an award for fighting racism in the Royal Family by the Robert F Kennedy Human Rights (RFKHR) organisation.

During the swanky New York event, Harry vowed their war against racism was just “at the beginning”.

Elsewhere, Meghan opened up about her struggle with suicidal thoughts before she and Harry stepped down as senior royals.

It came hours after a second trailer for Harry & Meghan saw the prince claim they suffered from leaks and planted stories that backed up the Royal Family “hierarchy,” referring to a “dirty game” within the firm.

“The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution, this feeding frenzy. I was terrified, I didn’t want history to repeat itself,” Harry added.

“No one knows the full truth. We know the full truth.”

Meanwhile, the couple have been mocked over image inaccuracies in both trailers, with their team coming forward to say using stock images and footage is “standard practice” when making documentaries.

The first episode of the couple’s long-awaited series will cover their relationship, with the next two parts delving into claims they were not adequately supported by Buckingham Palace.

According to Netflix, the show features commentary from friends and family who have never before spoken publicly about what they witnessed.
