AFTER months of keeping it a secret, Keira Knightley has finally revealed what she named her baby girl.
But, unlike most celebrities, the actor and her musician husband James Righton didn’t opt for anything quirky, calling their firstborn Edie.
Knightley, who gave birth to Edie back in May, covers ELLE for her first post-baby interview and opens up to the magazine about learning to love her body after giving birth.
“I have to say, as a woman, you hate certain parts of your body. You go through those periods where you look in the mirror and you think, ‘Oh, if only I had different legs or arms or whatever,’” the Imitation Game star told the publication.
“You go through pregnancy and labour and then feeding the kid and you go, ‘Wow, my body is totally amazing, and I’m never going to not like it again because it did this, and this is f*cking extraordinary.’”
Knightley covers the September issue of the mag for her 30th birthday and sizzles on the cover in a black leather jacket with a plunging v-neck, revealing her tiny waist.
“The love thing is astonishing. It’s a very primal, primal love. That’s quite extraordinary,” she said of becoming a mum. “And the ability to have no sleep and continue going. It’s not pleasant — I never thought that I could actually do it for the amount of time that I’ve done it.”
