Keira Knightley and James Righton ‘welcome baby girl’

KEIRA Knightley and James Righton welcomed their first child last month, but the baby’s gender has only just been revealed.

KEIRA Knightley and James Righton have reportedly welcomed a baby girl.

The Imitation Game star and her musician husband had their first child in May but didn’t reveal the baby’s gender.

While Knightley, 30, and the former Klaxons keyboardist have not commented on the bub, reports now suggest the pair are the proud parents of a baby girl.

The actor admitted to Ellen DeGeneres back in February that she found the idea of having a boy daunting, and she and Righton had chosen not to learn the baby’s sex before the birth, joking, “Because I have a 50/50 shot.”

“Somebody said to me the other day, the problem with boys is — sorry, this is horrible — but when you’re changing their nappies, you can get the wee in your face ... I never knew that before, so it was terrifying,” she said.

“And apparently they roll as well, so you have to try to stop them while you’re trying to grab something else in order to stop them peeing in your face. So that sounds quite interesting.”

Knightley first confirmed her pregnancy to Elle UK in December after weeks of speculation. She and Righton tied the knot in a low-key ceremony in France in May, 2013.
