Justin Bieber will be roasted on upcoming Comedy Central special
JUSTIN Bieber will be the butt of the joke on Comedy Central’s upcoming roast. Here’s why that might not be such a good idea for him.
Celebrities gone bad
Don't miss out on the headlines from Celebrities gone bad. Followed categories will be added to My News.
TEEN heart throb and pop sensation, Justin Bieber will join the likes of Charlie Sheen, Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff when he gets “roasted” on Comedy Central next month.
For those unfamiliar, the show is a rite of passage for celebrities whose contemporaries have deemed require a good public humiliation.
James Franco was the recipient of the latest roast and sat quietly while Jonah Hill, Anziz Ansari, Sarah Silverman and others hurled good natured abuse at him.
Bieber is by far the youngest to ever be roasted, and the 20-year-old has been involved in at least nine well-publicised incidents worthy of a roast — more than enough to fill a televised hour of teasing.
The young singer went on Ellen to talk about the upcoming special and admitted he’d done some things that “might not have been the greatest.”
“It’s just cool to be able to laugh at yourself,” he said.
It has not yet been announced who will have the pleasure of roasting the popstar but Kevin Hart has signed on to host the event.
And he’s got plenty of ammunition to work with.
• That time he crashed his Ferarri.
• That time he got beat up by Orlando Bloom.
• That time het got arrested for egging his neighbour’s house.
• That time he stripped live on CBS and flexed.
• That time he had his bodyguards carry him up the Great Wall of China.
• That time he met the Canadian prime minister wearing daggy overalls.
• That time he made a jet wait eight hours while he searched for his pet monkey.
• That time he announced he was beginning a mission to learn how to spread the word of God.
• That time he got caught sneaking out of a Brazilian brothel.
• Or maybe just the fact that he looks like Miley Cyrus.
After appearing on Ellen, Bieber posted a video on Facebook in which he was repentant for what he called “arrogant” and “conceited” behaviour over the past year. While this might all be a tactful exercise in PR for the star who has seen his public image tarnished in recent times, at the very least, it should be worth a laugh.
Oh don't you worry @justinbieber it will be brought ðððð ..... #BieberRoast ....Good luck my friend

The taping of the roast is set for March 14, and is due to air soon after that.
