It’s not alright. East 17’s Brian Harvey smashes the 90s band’s platinum records in vile rant

THE former frontman of 1990s chart-topping boy band East 17 has filmed himself smashing his platinum records in a bizarre foul-mouthed tirade.

HE once sang about everything being alright, but it’s clear former East 17 frontman Brian Harvey no longer lives in a house of love.

The 40-year-old pop star and his mates were, for a time, a fixture of the 1990s pop music scene, with the pop-rap British band enjoying a string of hits.

But Harvey has made his feelings clear about the music industry in a bizarre and foul-mouthed video, in which he smashes up East 17’s platinum records.

Shot in a laneway, the clip shows Harvey holding a framed set of CDs and saying “East 17’s one million sales — this is what it means,” before smashing them against a wall.

SECOND COMING: Call it a comeback — boy bands back on the music scene

“That’s what I think of your f***ing music industry,” Harvey continues.

As if that wasn’t clear enough, he also captioned the YouTube video with the more definitive message: “This is what I think of you all. F*** your record industry, and f*** your weird paedophile world. F*** you.”

Later, a second video appeared online showing Harvey returning to the scene of the outburst to clean up his mess.

“I can be angry and f***ing tidy,” he explained. “I’m a peaceful person and I pick my rubbish up.”

East 17 enjoyed a successful run during the early to mid-90s and still perform these days, albeit without Harvey, who left in 2010.

Original band members John Hendy and Terry Coldwell have since been joined by recent addition Robbie Craig.

Australia was particularly fond of the group in its heyday, with their singles It’s Alright, House of Love and Stay Another Day rocketing up the charts.
