Heidi Klum’s divisive Oscars dress: ‘Has she lost a bet?’

BOMBSHELL or bridesmaid? Heidi Klum’s bold Oscars look is one of the early red carpet fashion fatalities.

HEIDI Klum’s Oscars red carpet look has proven one of the most divisive of the day, with her flowing lilac frock compared to ‘drapes’ by some on social media.

The 42-year-old German model and reality TV show host is clad in a voluminous, one-sleeved Marchesa gown in varying shades of purple with large floral details.

It stood out on an otherwise largely conservative Oscars red carpet, fashion-wise - but many aren’t fans of the daring look, with those on social media comparing it to everything from a bad bridesmaid’s dress to a Glinda the Good Witch homage.

Klum isn’t the only star opting for a bold look at today’s ceremony - Olivia Wilde has flashed perhaps the most cleavage at the ceremony with a daring band-aid dress that garnered a mixed reaction.
