HEATHER Maltman turned heads at the Sydney premiere of Australian film UnIndian on Wednesday night, and it wasn’t just because she arrived with her new beau on her arm.

The quirky Bachelor contestant, who confirmed her romance with actor and musician Andrew Steele last month, donned a bizarre black outfit showing off plenty of midriff.

The two-piece ensemble featured a plunging V-neck crop top, a pair off full-length, flared culottes and a thick black and white fabric choker.

The 29-year-old, who finished fourth in the race to Bachelor Sam Wood’s heart this season, is known for her wacky sense of style and often appeared on the show sporting a number of crazy frocks and headpieces.

Maltman, an actress and filmmaker, has a small role in UnIndian, alongside former cricketer Brett Lee.

While Australian viewers were disappointed when the early favourite was eventually shown the door by Sam Wood, she seems fairly smitten with Steele.

“We met at Melbourne Web Festival a week or two after show and ended up becoming really good friends because that’s my thing,” she told Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa recently. “And I didn’t want to date because Sam polarised my heart.”

Asked whether the new couple have said ‘I love you’ to each other yet, the brunette replied, “It’s very very early days ... I will neither confirm nor deny that.”
