HARRISON Ford looked hirsute and astute when he stepped out with a new bushy beard in California this week.

The 73-year-old who reprised his role as Han Solo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens last year, was almost unrecognisable as he dropped off his suits to his tailer in Burbank.

The new look comes after Ford had been recovering from an accident on the Star Wars set which left him with a broken leg.

It was revealed last week that the company responsible for the accident, in which a metal Millenium Falcon door hit the actor causing his leg to break, is being taken to court and will face an “unlimited” fine.

Harrison Ford broke his leg in June 2014.

Ford, who played Han Solo in the Star Wars trilogy that hit cinema screens between 1977 and 1983, will also reprise his iconic role of Rick Deckard in a Blade Runner sequel.

The usually clean shaven actor is married to Calista Flockhart.
