IF ANYONE can throw an awesome first birthday party for a baby, it’s Hamish Blake. Over the weekend he celebrated his son’s first birthday with cake and a few celeb mates.

The radio star and his wife Zoe Foster celebrated their bub, Sonny’s, first birthday over the weekend with toys, cakes and a few celeb mates.

His on-air bud Andy Lee was in attendance with new girlfriend Rebecca Harding, and Fifi Box was snapped outside the party with her two-year-old daughter Trixie.

After enjoying an elaborate cake from Burch & Purchese Sweet Studio in South Yarra — which included a chocolate road with tiny cars and trucks on it — things got messy when Sonny decided to rub the icing over himself and his dad.

Earlier in the dad, Hamish was seen taking Sonny for a stroll in his pram before his big day began.

Hamish took Sonny for a birthday stroll.

Proud dad Hamish took to Instagram to post a heartfelt — and cheeky — message about his son along with a picture of Sonny’s face superimposed on an astronaut.

“Happy Birthday my beautiful boy,” he wrote.

“You’ve given us so much fun over your first year, and while I missed you very much for the 37 days you were conducting scientific research aboard the International Space Station, I understand it was important work for humanity and you were super excited to go, plus it gave us a chance to catch up on some house work and admin anyway.

“I would still be so proud of you even if you weren’t one of the best astronauts of all time. Dad.”
