ELIZABETH Banks admits she’s an a**hole for missing her son’s pre-school graduation for an awards show.
“I have two little boys at home and I really want to thank Felix, he’s my oldest, he’s five, he’s adorable and he is graduating from preschool tomorrow,” she said while accepting an accolade at the UK Glamour Women of the Year Awards.
“Because as delighted as I am by this award, when I accepted the offer and invitation to London, I didn’t actually realise I was gonna be missing his graduation.”
So what does that make her?
“Yep, I’m a fu**ing a**hole, thank you, that’s exactly right. Because being a working mum is super complicated and I am really glad that I have the opportunity to say that here tonight … So I just wanna say to Felix that I’m really, really, really sorry, buddy, that I’m missing your graduation tomorrow.”
With Kourtney Kardashian, Jennifer Saunder and Sigourney Weaver laughing in the audience, Banks finished her acceptance speech by saying, “I hope this award doesn’t remind me of what a fu**ing terrible mother I am”.
The actress, 42, and husband Max Handelson are parents to Felix as well as his three-year-old brother, Magnus.
