Dominic West’s wife has called family crisis talks over the future of her marriage.
Catherine FitzGerald was devastated when her actor husband was pictured kissing co-star Lily James on a secret Rome trip, The Sun reports.
West, who starred in police drama The Wire, and his wife put on a united front at first by posing together 24 hours after the photos were revealed this month.
Catherine has since made a trip to her homeland of Ireland and friends say she is now discussing the 10-year marriage with her sisters – Nesta, an illustrator, and Honor, an actress.
A source said: “She’s holed up in her family’s ancestral home, Glin Castle in County Limerick, thinking everything over.
“Catherine has called on Nesta and Honor to help her as she’s been struggling to come to a decision about whether she and Dominic can go back to how they were.
“Nesta has told friends that it felt like a family crisis meeting.
“Both she and Honor are fiercely protective of their older sister and want only what’s best for her, even if that means Catherine walking away.
“She has been left feeling humiliated by Dominic’s actions.”
West and Lily, who have been making BBC drama The Pursuit Of Love, were seen in Italy when photographs of the pair were made public a fortnight ago.
