Dolly Parton wants goddaughter Miley Cyrus to enter rehab after shocking drug image is leaked

MILEY Cyrus’ family, including superstar godmother Dolly Parton, insist she needs help for her drug habit after a troubling image of the star leaked online.

THE family of singer Miley Cyrus, including country music icon Dolly Parton, have insisted the troubled young star seek professional help for her drug habit, according to reports.

Concern has grown for the 22-year-old former Disney starlet since a photograph emerged last week showing her sitting next to a table covered in what appeared to be drug paraphernalia.

The photograph was apparently taken last November by a friend, but has only just emerged. It created a sit online among her fans and alarmed the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s loved ones.

It shows Cyrus lounging on a couch, dressed in a onesie and wearing a pair of headphones, next to a coffee table covered in what looks to be cannabis and a glass jar filled with white powder.

Her godmother Parton and father Billy Ray have reached out to insist the colourful young performer clean up her act, according to The Sun newspaper.

While Cyrus has previously been open about her appreciation for drugs, especially marijuana, the image has troubled those in her inner circle, a source told the paper.

It’s not the first time Cyrus has created controversy with her drug use, with past antics including lighting what seemed to be a marijuana joint on stage during the MTV European Music Awards in 2013.

Her Instagram feed, which she updates several times a day, is also littered with filtered images of bongs, drug-themed merchandise and the star herself puffing on joints.

In the past, she has spoken to reporters about her experimentation with drugs, including the drug “Molly” — the street name for MDMA.

“One time I smoked a joint with peyote in it and I saw a wolf howling at the moon,” she said in 2013.
