Christy Teigen: ‘Why I won’t use Photoshop anymore’

JOHN Legend’s model wife Chrissy Teigen has pledged never to use technology to cover up her blemishes in photos she posts online.

JOHN Legend’s model wife Chrissy Teigen has pledged never to use technology to cover up her blemishes in photos she posts online because she wants young girls to realise that even classic beauties are not perfect.

The stunner recently posted a shot of her bruised legs and realised too late that the snap showed up her stretchmarks, but rather than go back and alter the shot to make her look better, she decided she would never airbrush an image again.

She says, “I have those apps, those Facetunes, those Photoshopping ones, and I just didn’t feel like doing it anymore, and I’m never doing it again, because I think we forgot what normal people look like now. The standard is so ridiculous.”

She tells US talk show host Meredith Vieira, “It’s gotten to the point where they’re not smoothing their skin anymore, they’re actually changing the shape of their body. Nobody can compare to that when you’re fixing yourself so much. It’s so unfair.

“It started with Botox and everything, of course, but now it’s just grown into this Photoshop phenomenon — and I’ve seen these women in person — and they are not like that. Please know that. I’ve shot in barely anything with them, and it’s just amazing what people do to tweak themselves.”
