CHRISSY Teigen and John Legend have welcomed their first child together.
The model took to Instagram overnight, announcing that her baby daughter had been born last Thursday, before revealing her daughter’s name.
“She’s here! Luna Simone Stephens, we are so in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy,” Tiegen wrote.
The 30-year-old shared a photo of a monitor which revealed the baby weighed in at 6 lbs 11oz, smaller than average.
Legend also sprouted his love, tweeting: “Our new love is here! Luna Simone Stephens, born on Thursday, the 14th. We couldn’t be happier!”
Teigen has been open in the past about her fertility struggles, and used IVF to conceive her child, revealing she hand-picked a female embryo to ensure she and the singer would have a daughter.
“I’ve made this decision ... Not only am I having a girl, I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, ‘Let’s put in the girl,’” she told People.

Before saying that a son “will come along”, she added: “It excited me to see ... just the thought of seeing [John] with a little girl. I think he deserves a little girl. I think he deserves that bond.”
Prior to the baby’s birth, Teigen also revealed she got the presidential seal of approval on the name.
“I asked President Obama if he liked one of our name choices and he said he did,” she said while appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in the US.
“John isn’t sold on the name, so I figured if [the president] liked it, then John would be sold on it. He says it’s too ‘Hollywood’.”
The model also celebrated her daughter’s impending birth with two baby showers: one in New York City and a second in Los Angeles, which was hosted by her friend Kim Kardashian.
While Tiegen did not reveal her due date ahead of the birth, she dropped a hint that she would welcome her daughter in April when she moved the release of her cookbook Cravings forward to February.
