Aussie hearthrob and Avengersstar Chris Hemsworth has officially joined the 21st century, aka Twitter. Check out who he’s following.

Hemsworth, who stars as Thor in two stand-alone movies as well as in Marvel’s upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron, posted his first tweet from backstage at NBC’s Saturday Night Live.

Looking markedly slimmer than his bulked up Nordic alter-ego, Hemsworth shared a photo of himself giving two thumbs up.

“Two things are happening right now: 1. My first tweet 2. Getting ready to host @nbcsnl with @zacbrownband,” the star wrote.

His first tweet was quickly retweeted more than 7000 times in just two hours, with the brand new account amassing 40,000 followers in the same period.

So far, Hemsworth himself has only followed about 30 people.

The list will make any Marvel fan smile: Tom Hiddleston, Joss Whedon, Stan Lee, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Paul Bettany and Jeremy Renner, among others.

Family comes first however. His very first follows? Liam Hemsworth and Luke Hemsworth.
