CARRIE Bickmore and her partner Chris Walker have welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world.
The Project co-host announced the news on social media Wednesday afternoon and shared a snap of their daughter, named Evie.
This is Bickmore’s second child. She is already mum to seven-year-old Ollie, with late husband Greg Lange, who passed away in 2010.
Bickmore was inundated with congratulations from her followers and colleagues after she announced the exciting news.
The 34-year-old Gold Logie nominee took to Twitter over the weekend to reveal that doctors had said her unborn baby is currently the size of a pumpkin.
She shared plenty of baby bump photos from the set of The Project during her last week at work before taking a break.
In one, she compares bellies with co-host Peter Helliar. The caption reads: “2nd last show with this man before I go on mat leave for a few months. Don’t laugh me into early labour Petey!!!”
In another she thanked her stylists for finding her “something super stretchy” to wear on the show.
Gorgi Coghlan will replace Bickmore on The Project panel while she’s on maternity leave, but the mum-of-two only plans to be off for a few months and has vowed to be on the red carpet for her favourite night of the year, the TV Week Logie Awards, held on May 3 in Melbourne.
Bickmore posed for a stunning pregnant photo shoot with Australian Woman’s Weekly last month, opening up about her partner, her son and losing her first husband to brain cancer.
“I’m so excited,” she told the mag, “But I’m also slightly terrified. I think when you have done it once before, when you do it again, you know what you are in for.”
