RAPPER Azealia Banks is under fire for launching a bizarre and racially fuelled Twitter tirade at Australian breakout artist Iggy Azalea.
The controversial musician began her longwinded rant on the social networking site yesterday afternoon, canvassing not just her dislike of the blonde lyricist but also defending alleged rapist Bill Cosby and using an anti-gay slur at a gossip writer.
Banks became angered when a grand jury in New York decided not to indict Daniel Pantaleo, a police officer who applied a chokehold on a black man, Eric Garner, who died.
The 23-year-old began by calling Azalea “Igloo Australia” and accusing her of staying silent on the case, as well as other issues important to the African American community.
“If you’re down to ride with us bitch, you gotta RIDE ALL THE WAY,” she Tweeted.
But the tone quickly worsened when Banks described her rival as a “wannabe black girl”, made a reference to the Ku Klux Klan and even described wanting to urinate in a jar and throw it at Azalea.
“Black Culture is cool, but black issues sure aren’t huh?” she also wrote.

While many of her followers reposted the comments and even expressed their support, others were incensed by them — including Perez Hilton, a Hollywood gossip blogger.
Banks took exception to his rebuttal and added further fuel to the fire when she directed a series of anti-gay slurs at him.
“Gay men can call you a bitch, and talk about YA hair and YA nails, but as soon as you call them a f*****, all s*** breaks loose.”
She then went on to claim white people were “trying to tear down our father figure BILL COSBY”.
