ANGELINA Jolie’s trip to Cambodia in 2000 changed her mind about children.

“It’s strange, I never wanted to have a baby,” the humanitarian told the Associated Press. “I never wanted to be pregnant. I never babysat. I never thought of myself as a mother.”

Her feelings shifted after playing with school children in Cambodia while shooting Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

“It was suddenly very clear to me that my son was in the country, somewhere,” she dished.

“When I first came to Cambodia, it changed me,” the 40-year-old actress said. “It changed my perspective. I realized there was so much about history that I had not been taught in school, and so much about life that I needed to understand, and I was very humbled by it.”

Jolie added that growing up in Los Angeles brought a feeling of “emptiness.”

In 2002 Jolie adopted son Maddox, 14, and later adopted Zahara, 11, from Ethiopia.

With husband Brad Pitt, who she married in 2014, they adopted Pax, 12, from Vietnam. Jolie and Pitt, 52, also share biological children Shiloh, 9, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 7.
