Actor Ricardo Medina Jr arrested for ‘stabbing roommate to death’

A FORMER Power Ranger has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his roommate to death with a sword after a fight broke out between the pair.

A FORMER Power Ranger has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his roommate to death.

TMZ is reporting that Ricardo Medina Jr. was arrested on Saturday afternoon by L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies in Palmdale, California, after a fight broke out between himself and his male roommate, Joshua Sutter.

Medina, 37, who reportedly called 911 himself, was taken into custody, charged with killing Mr Sutter by stabbing him in the abdomen with a sword. Mr Sutter was taken to hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.

According to law enforcement, Medina retreated to his bedroom with his girlfriend after an argument broke out, but Mr Sutter forced his way into the bedroom, at which point Medina allegedly stabbed him once in the abdomen with the sword.

Medina starred as the Red Ranger on Power Rangers Wild Force in 2002 and then went on to play Dekker on Power Rangers Samurai.

Medina is reportedly still in prison and bail has been set at $US1 million.

In 2009, former Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers child actor Skylar Deleon was sentenced to death for murdering an Arizona couple in 2004 by tying them to an anchor and throwing them overboard from their yacht off southern California.

The bodies of the couple were never found.

Deleon, 29, was also convicted in the 2003 killing of Jon Jarvi, an Anaheim man, whose body was discovered near a roadway in Ensenada, Mexico.

Skylar Deleon and his wife Jennifer were charged with the murder of a couple in 2009.
