ACTRESS and singer Zooey Deschanel is a new mum.

Deschanel welcomed a “healthy, beautiful baby girl” with Jacob Penchenik, a rep told E! News insiders said the bouncing bundle of joy was born in Austin, Texas, where Pechenik, a movie producer, is based.

But that’s not the only happy news for the couple.

The rep for the New Girl actress also confirmed that Deschanel and Pechenik got married in a secret ceremony.

Deschanel was previously married to Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard. They split in 2011.

The baby girl is Deschanel’s first child.
