The Australian stars of a new drama series have hit the red carpet at the Sydney premiere.
Actors Josh Heuston (Heartbreak High) and Brendan Cowell (Game of Thrones) attended the screening of HBO’s Dune: Prophecy at Hoyts Entertainment Quarter on Wednesday night.
The actors star alongside fellow Aussie Travis Fimmel in the upcoming American sci-fi show, which will stream locally on Binge from November 18. They were joined by a host of local influencers to debut the hotly-anticipated series.
It was certainly an edgy red carpet event, with stars rocking racy looks and men skipping the standard suit for more eclectic outfits.
Dune: Prophecy is based on the popular Great Schools of Dune novel trilogy by author Frank Herbert, and is set 10,000 years before the events of 2021 blockbuster Dune.
The series follows “two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit”, per an official synopsis.
It co-stars Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Shalom Brune-Franklin and Yerin Ha.

Meanwhile, the film franchise, which has so far released two movies, has been a huge success at the global box office.
Dune, starring Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya and Rebecca Ferguson, grossed $US407.7 million.
Its sequel Dune: Part Two, released in cinemas in February, grossed an eye-watering $US714.4 million.
