Taylor Swift adds another talent to her bulging CV as Eras Tour nears end

Taylor Swift is set to wrap her blockbuster Eras Tour in December, and she appears to have answered questions about what she could possibly achieve next.

After finishing off the epic European leg of her Eras tour, you’d think Taylor Swift would be putting her feet up.

But behind the scenes the US superstar is already busy looking ahead to her next projects, The Sun reports.

One of those could finally be adding ‘author’ to her bulging CV and achievements, after she trademarked the name and rights to her debut novel.

The tome, titled A Girl Called Girl, was written by Swift when she was a teenager and is about a mother who wanted a son instead of a daughter.

While Swift was just 14 when she wrote the story, it has never seen the light of day and the draft was previously believed to be in the care of her parents.

It’s not the first time the star has trademarked the book. In 2015, she secured the rights to the name for the first time.

But after sitting on the project for almost a decade, it seems her fans could now be one step closer to getting their hands on it.

The new trademark covers merchandise for the book, as well as audio versions, which makes it seem like Swift is finally gearing up to release it to the world.

She previously revealed she started writing the tale before her music career really took off, explaining while on tour in 2012, “All my friends were back in Pennsylvania, so I had nothing to do.

“I had this epiphany... I’m going to be a novelist and I’m going to write novels. That’s going to be my career path.”

Of course, Swift’s music career ended up going stellar, with the singer/songwriter becoming arguably becoming the biggest pop star of this generation, with Forbes naming her a billionaire as of October last year.

The Cruel Summer hitmaker will head back on the road in November before finishing off her mammoth run of concerts on December 8 in Vancouver, Canada.

She has a lot of other projects in the pipeline, including the re-recorded version of 2017 album Reputation, which her fans are, quite honestly, getting hysterical about now.

Adding this book into the mix would lead to screams that are off the scale.
