Australian actress Tammin Sursok has revealed an exciting new career move.

The former Home And Away star has launched her new Australian podcast, The Sh!t Show.

With nothing off the table, the audio series features candid conversations with celebrities from Australia and beyond. Guests share their successes, their setbacks and all of the chaos in between.

The Emmy-nominated star told news.com.au that she was “really excited to create the show”.

“I got to speak to people I grew up with on TV and find out more about their life journey and their life story,” she said.

“I was just really interested in sharing that and sharing the messy parts of life that we all sort of go through and I wanted to do it in a podcast form.”

“What is cool about the show is that the celebrities and the people that I’ve interviewed have really opened up about things that they’ve never talked about ever,” Sursok, 40, added.

“Being able to have these candid conversations, most of them conversations that people have never heard, I think it’s going to be something interesting for the Aussie public to listen to. It’s very fun and funny.”

Sursok started her career playing Dani Sutherland on Home And Away for four years from 2000. She scored several Australian hit singles during a short-lived music career after leaving the soap, before moving to the US in 2006 to focus on her acting career.

The Logie-winner went on to star in The Young And The Restless, Hannah Montana and Pretty Little Liars.

And in fact, Sursok has been podcasting for the past six years while based in the US. After producing her two international podcasts Women on Top and Pretty Little Liars: True Crime, the South African-born, Aussie-raised actress decided to launch her latest audio series down under because she wanted to create a project that was quintessentially Australian.

“I grew up on Australian TV and I still have a lot of people that follow me in Australia,” she said.

“I just wanted to do something for them and to give back to the Aussies who listen to podcasts and talk to Australian talent.”

Some of the Australian celebrities who join Sursok in the studio include Larry Emdur, Amy Shark, Matty J, Candice Warner and Osher Gunsberg. She said her favourite interview so far has been with Emdur.

“We just laugh so hard,” she said.

“I’ve been interviewed by him for so many years and it was just really fun and interesting to flip the switch to be able to have me interview him instead of the other way around.

“We laughed so hard that we had to stop the recording and get it together.

“I just thought he was really awesome, very open, fun and erudite. I found a lot of enjoyment out of that [interview].
