Striking similarity between Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie’s sons Archie and August

Royals fans are abuzz by how much Prince Harry’s son Archie and Princess Eugenie’s son August look alike. Compare photos.

Royal fans can’t get over how much Princess Eugenie’s son August looks like Prince Harry’s son Archie.

The youngest daughter of Prince Andrew shared a photo of her firstborn on Instagram while announcing the birth of her second child, a baby boy named Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank.

In the photo, August caresses his baby brothers head as he lies sound asleep.

While all the attention should be on the newborn, royals fans were more preoccupied with August’s resemblance to Archie.

One wrote: “August and Archie are twins”.

Another said: “It’s incredible how much Archie and August are similar! How cute are these two little cousins”.

“Is it just me or does the photo of Eugenie’s son August look identical to the photo we have been getting shown of Archie?” a third added.

The comments were endless.

“Honestly, Eugenie could post a photo of Archie and say it’s August, I wouldn’t know the difference,” wrote another fan.

The King’s niece said that her baby’s name was inspired by “his great-great-great grandfather George, his grandpa George and my grandpa Ronald”.

Ernest was born at 8.49am on May 30, weighing 3.2kg.

The child is now 13th in line to the throne, pushing the late Queen’s youngest child Prince Edward down to 14th.

A statement from Buckingham Palace said: “Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their son, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank.”

The baby is 13th in line to the throne and is not due to receive a royal title.

The arrival marks the first royal child to be born since the death of Queen Elizabeth, and comes a month after the King’s Coronation.

The daughter of Sarah Ferguson and the Duke of York gave birth to her first son, August, at the Portland Hospital in central London in February 2021.

When her pregnancy was announced early this year, the Palace said that August was “very much” looking forward to becoming a big brother.

In two photographs shared on the Princess’s Instagram account on Monday, Ernest is pictured lying on his side under a blanket wearing a woollen blue and white hat.

A second photograph captures a touching moment as August strokes his new brother’s head.

The Princess wrote: “Augie is loving being a big brother already.”

The newborn is also a 13th great-grandchild of the late Queen – and is the first to be born since her death last September.

The new baby will have no shortage of playmates. Not only will he be just two years younger than older brother, August, but they will also be close in age to Princess Beatrice’s daughter, Sienna, now just over a year old, and distant cousin Lucas Philip Tindall, Zara and Mike’s youngest, who was born in March 2021.

Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are also parents to Edoardo’s son Christopher, known as Wolfie, from his previous relationship with Dara Huang.
