Queen Camilla appears to have taken a dig at Meghan Markle with her latest outfit.
Camilla, 75, wore a custom all-white Dior coat and dress at the 2023 Royal Ascot on Tuesday, just days after it was revealed Meghan will not be signing a deal with the French fashion house, despite reports an agreement was in the works.
Page Six reports Camilla’s decision to wear Dior amid the reports “got everyone talking” at the Royal Ascot, which she attended with King Charles III.
“The gossip in the royal enclosure was how happy everyone was that Meghan and Harry weren’t here,” a source added to the publication.
And social media had a field day too.
One Twitter user wrote: “HM Queen Camilla in Dior. My day is complete. Oh, the shade. The complete and utter shade. It’s good to be Queen!”.
Another said: “And Camilla wore BESPOKE DIOR TODAY Throwing shade”
Whilst she has never partnered with Dior in an official capacity, The Duchess of Sussex is a fan of the brand having worn its designs during royals engagement, notably Prince Archie’s 2019 christening.
Prince Harry has also stepped out in Dior suits on previous occasions, more recently at the King’s coronation in May.
SIBLING DIVIDE WIDE AS WILLIAM MARKS 41ST BIRTHDAY
Prince William still has “simmering resentment” towards his younger brother.
The siblings’ relationship has famously soured in the past few years after Harry and Meghan ditched royal life for California in 2020 and the Duke of Sussex bagged the royal family repeatedly, particularly in his explosive memoir, Spare.
The brothers were once inseparable, bonded by the loss of their mother, Princess Diana, and their royal journeys. It had always been believed that the brothers would continue to support each other as they continued their paths within the British monarchy.
But, as Prince William, celebrates his 41st birthday, the gulf between the two is said to be wider than ever.
Writer, Christopher Andersen, author of “The King,” has alleged that Prince William is still fuming over his brother’s controversial memoir.
“William is still simmering with resentment over ‘Megxit,’ not to mention Harry’s unflattering portrait of him in Spare,” the royal expert told Fox News.
“In the book, Harry portrays his older brother as his “arch-nemesis” – Harry’s words – a scolding, overbearing, brooding and, at times, even violent man.”
“Harry is still obviously upset that William was given a free ride because he is the heir – that William got away scot-free with doing many of the same things Harry was excoriated for,” Andersen said.
“William is doing a marvellous job of compartmentalisation. He seems to have put Harry and

Meghan in a box and shoved that box into a remote corner of his mind – all so that he can do the job he must do as Prince of Wales.”
Prince Harry spoke about the brothers’ often difficult relationship during interviews for his book.
“There has always been this competition between us, weirdly,” Prince Harry said earlier this year.
“I think it really plays into — or is played by — the ‘heir, spare.’”
The Duke of Sussex added that his mother, Princess Diana, would be devastated by the estranged relationship between him and his brother.
“I think she’d be sad,” he said. “I think she would be heartbroken that it’s ended up where it’s ended up.”
It comes as King Charles paid tribute to his eldest son on his 41st birthday.
The royal family’s social media accounts have marked the occasion with a sweet behind-the-scenes snap of the King and his son sharing an intimate moment.
Royal photographer Chris Jackson revealed he captured the moment between the two men during a rehearsal ahead of the Monarch’s coronation in May.
‘Wishing The Prince of Wales a very happy birthday today,’ the social media post read, accompanied by a red balloon emoji.
Prince Harry spoke about the distress his sons’ estrangement has caused him, saying the King implored the brothers to make up, after the funeral of Prince Philip in 2021, “Please, boys. Don’t make my final years a misery.”
