Prince Harry could be in hot water over his US visa application as Americans express ‘outrage’

Donald Trump has been drawn into Prince Harry’s US visa saga as a Hollywood star slams Meghan Markle’s haters.

Americans are demanding Prince Harry’s US visa application be made public amid growing controversy surrounding how he was able to gain entry into the US, it has emerged.

It was revealed last week that the Duke of Sussex changed his country of residence from Britain to the United States in official paperwork, four years after quitting the Royal Family for a new life in the US.

Documents showed Prince Harry put his “New Country/State Usually Resident” as America in June last year. He previously listed the UK as his primary home.

However, American conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation launched legal action in a bid to have the 39-year-old’s US visa application made public, The Express reports.

The organisation claims that Prince Harry may have lied about his previous drug use on his application, after he confessed to using cocaine, mushrooms and marijuana in his tell-all memoir Spare, or he has been given “special treatment” by the US government.

Former Executive Assistant to President Ronald Reagan, Peggy Grande, told Daily Express US that Americans have been left “disgusted” by the saga.

“Those paying attention to it have realised what Donald Trump has said – that there is a two-tier immigration system, one for one side of the political aisle and one for the other,” Ms Grande said.

“We know Meghan is tight with the Hollywood crowd, with the Oprah’s of the world, with the elite. So it is no surprise cover is being provided for them.

“The American people in general I would say are disgusted by it because they know the average American would not be afforded the same privilege.

“The American people are realising the government are only representing special people. Harry and Meghan are special people.”

Speaking to The Mirror, royal expert and author Tom Quinn claimed that Prince Harry is “regretting his ignorance” when he admitted to taking drugs.

“Harry will be massively regretting his ignorance and naivety as the court case looms – a court case that could lead to real difficulties for him,” Mr Quinn said,

“It’s another example of where royals always rely on other people to make decisions for them because when they make decisions for themselves, they often get it wrong and Spare was very much Harry trying to be his own man and messing up.”

MEGHAN’S HOLLYWOOD PAL SLAMS HATERS

Bridesmaids star Melissa McCarthy has Meghan Markle’s back.

The Hollywood comedy maven is bewildered by the backlash against the US-born Duchess of Sussex and former Suits actress.

“It bums me out for every woman and every person, that for no reason people just like to attack,” she told Page Six.

“A smart interesting woman that has her own life, for some reason, is incredibly threatening to some people,” the actress, 53, continued.

“I always think, how inspiring! I’ve never once been threatened by someone who is amazing. I just think how inspiring. It’s really on the people throwing the hate.”

McCarthy, who was speaking from the red carpet of feminist-themed Broadway show Suffs, added that Duchess of Sussex is “wonderful” and “awesome.”

In 2021, McCarthy appeared with Markle for a video celebrating the Duchess’s 40th birthday and the launch of a mentorship program entitled 40×40.

The humorous pandemic-era video gently made fun of Markle’s royal position with the pair sipping tea in the skit.

After making the video, McCarthy praised the royal couple.

“They were so sweet and funny,” she told Access Hollywood at the time. “I just found them very inspiring. They’re carving out their own lives. They’re carving out their lives for their kids.”

But somebody who is not so complimentary of the royal these days is Meghan Markle’s ex-bestie, Lizzie Cundy, who had some choice words for her ex-actress friend.

Cundy told GBN’s Nana Akua that the Duchess of Sussex is “trying to relaunch herself as a Gwyneth Paltrow type”, and is “not reading the room”.

“They’ve got these new Netflix shows about making jam and cookery and gardening, and there Harry’s about polo playing, it’s not really relatable,” she added. “I think it’s pretty insensitive when Catherine’s going through what she’s going through and the King is going through his cancer issues too, it’s really insensitive, to be honest.”

TV host Akua added: “It feels to me that they should realise how ridiculous they’re coming across, how heartless and insensitive they look, but they don’t appear to realise any of that,” the news anchor added.

Cundy agreed, saying, “They never read the room, do they? They’re so into themselves they can’t see the wood for the trees. We’ve heard Meghan going on about the trolling and all the horrible comments and you just think, look at what you’ve actually done to poor Kate.”

She also lambasted Meghan’s newly launched product line which includes jam with a whimsical country cottage theme.

“I don’t think anyone will be interested at all. It’s fake. It’s phony. It’s cheesy,” she said.
