Fancy cooking for King Charles? Well your dream could come true.

The search is on for a new Chef de Parti to join the British monarch’s kitchen staff at Buckingham Palace.

The chosen one must be willing to travel, including between King Charle’s residences in London, Balmoral and Scotland. In return they will get “a salary adjustment” for accommodation and meals.

Surprisingly the salary for the job is just £37,000, or $A71,000.

“The successful candidate will join an accomplished and close-knit team, working hands-on with talented colleagues to deliver a range of cuisines to the highest standards,” an ad on the royal website states.

“You’ll work with quality ingredients and be responsible for the day-to-day preparation and service of food to the Royal Household and staff.”

The successful applicant will “assist in preparing meals across all areas of the kitchen for internal colleagues, Royal meals, and special functions to the highest standards” and support senior chefs in creating “seasonal menus utilising products from local estates”, the listing states.

Charles, who is battling cancer, lives a healthy and active life.

He doesn’t do lunch, he loves eggs mashed with salad, and a mutton pie when on a hunting trip.
Like his exiled daughter-in-law, Meghan Markle, he only eats organic and does yoga.

Sources said he has also started drinking beetroot juice ahead of any flights, with the juice containing powerful antioxidants believed to fight damaged cells and help with fatigue, insomnia and those battling cancer and undergoing chemotherapy.
For his late breakfast, the King likes cheesy baked eggs, as the official Clarence House Instagram account shared in a postfrom 2020.

A list released for Charles’ 75th birthday also stated that the King prefers Darjeeling tea with milk and honey.

And in 2021, the King said he sticks to a heavily plant-based diet as part of his concerted efforts to combat climate change.

MEGHAN’S BIG LEGAL VICTORY

A judge has thrown out a defamation case against Meghan Markle brought against her by her half-sister, Samantha Markle.
Florida District Court Judge Charlene Edwards Honeywell found that Samantha, 59, failed to provide examples of defamation in the Netflix series Harry and Meghan or Omid Scobie’s book Finding Freedom.

The judge also found no examples of defamation in Harry and Meghan’s bombshell Oprah Winfrey sit-down interview which aired in 2021.

Samantha “failed to identify any statements that could support a claim for defamation or defamation-by-implication by this point, her third try at amending her complaint…,” according to court documents obtained by Page Six.

Samantha claimed Meghan made “false and malicious statements” during the Oprah interview, lied about being an “only child” and about the last time they had seen each other.

She also accused Meghan of publicly attacking her father Thomas to sell a false “rags-to royalty” story of her life.

Samantha was asking $US75,000 ($A113k) in damages and the cost of legal and court fees.

In response, Meghan called the case “meritless”.

“We do not empanel juries to rule on whether two people are ‘close,’ or whether one genuinely feels that they ‘grew up as an only child,’” Meghan’s legal response at the time read.

“Courts are not equipped to adjudicate the legitimacy of a person’s feelings about their childhood and relationships. Nor should they be.”

After the request for dismissal, Meghan’s lawyer told TMZ the suit was “baseless and absurd” and “a continuation of a pattern of disturbing behaviour.”
“We will give it the minimum attention necessary, which is all it deserves,” he said.
