‘Only eight weeks to go’: Sam Kerr’s fiancée Kristie Mewis gives pregnancy update

Kristie Mewis has put aside the drama of Sam Kerr’s court case to share the excitement of their pregnancy journey with a video of her growing baby bump.

Sam Kerr’s fiancée Kristie Mewis has showed off her baby bump in a new video in which she reveals she is now 32 weeks pregnant.

The sports star couple revealed in November they were expecting their first child.

In the latest video, Mewis showed fans how she wakes up in the morning — sporting a hair turban and full eye mask — and declared she’s a “bump out” person, showing off her pregnancy belly in exercise leggings and a tank crop top.

Kristie Mewis revealed that she’s 32 weeks’ along.

She also revealed some insights into her pregnancy journey, including experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions.

“I’m 32 weeks’ pregnant now, which is crazy. Only eight weeks left to go and I’ve been starting to get like Braxton Hicks contractions,” Mewis said.

“I feel like I’ve only had one maybe before this but starting yesterday I started getting a couple of them throughout the day.

“My stomach gets so tight that it almost turns into a square. But it’s really quick and then goes away.”

Kristie Mewis says she’s been experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions, with only eight weeks to go.

The Matilda’s captain proposed to Mewis, an American professional soccer player, at the end of 2023 and are planning to tie the knot this December.

Their relationship went public in 2021 after the Tokyo Olympics, where rumours of their relationship started after they played against one another in the semifinals.

Last month, Kerr was found not guilty of racially aggravated harassment following a multi-day trial in London.

Kerr was captured on police bodycam footage calling a police officer “f***ing stupid and white” when he doubted her claim of being “held hostage” by a taxi driver.

During the court case, Kerr revealed they are expecting a baby boy this year and plan to get married in December.

The star striker has been sidelined in recent months with an ACL injury but is expected to return to the game soon.

“The injury is good,” the 31-year-old told Optus Sport.

“I’m not putting a date on my return, just making sure I get it right and making sure I feel good before I get back on the pitch.

“I mean, it’s my second ACL, so I know you need to take the time, you need to make sure it’s right and I’m doing everything I can.

“But there’s definitely no rush for me, I want to make sure I can play for many more years to come.”
