Jennifer Coolidge announced to headline Vivid Sydney 2023

White Lotus and Legally Blonde star Jennifer Coolidge has taken to social media with a huge announcement for all her fans Down Under.

Jennifer Coolidge is coming to Australia.

Film and television icon Jennifer Coolidge is heading to Australia.

The White Lotus star has announced that she will headline Vivid Sydney 2023 alongside the series’ writer, director and creator, Mike White, for an exclusive In Conversation event during the festivities.

Coolidge took to Instagram and TikTok on Friday to share the news in a short video.

“Hey Australia, it’s Jennifer Coolidge and I just got really exciting news. Mike White and I are coming to Sydney on June 10 – we’ll see you there!” the American actress said.

American Pie star Coolidge, 61, experienced a career renaissance in recent years after winning over millions of new fans as quirky multi-millionaire Tanya McQuoid in HBO’s White Lotus series on Binge.

She also recently appeared on the cover of TIME100, being named as one of the World’s Most Influential People for 2023.

Vivid Sydney – an annual festival of light, music and ideas – began back in 2009 and has attracted a number of impressive guests over the years, including director Baz Luhrmann, famed psychotherapist Esther Perel and actor and filmmaker Spike Lee.

However, this year’s celebrity guest reveal is being billed as “one of the biggest announcements in [Vivid’s] 13-year history”.

“We’re thrilled to share that The White Lotus creator, Mike White, and star of the series, Jennifer Coolidge, will join this year’s Vivid Sydney line-up,” Vivid Sydney festival director Gill Minervini said.

“Securing these huge megastars cements Vivid Sydney 2023 as the biggest and most

culturally relevant program yet. 

“This exclusive event will allow audiences to see behind the curtain on what has become a

massive cultural Zeitgeist and hear from two of the hottest figures in the creative industries right now.”

Mike White and Jennifer Coolidge In Conversation will be held at Sydney’s International Convention Centre on June 10 and moderated by Benjamin Law.

Tickets are now available via Vivid’s official website.

Vivid will run from Friday, May 26 until Saturday, June 17 with more than 300 events.
