Chace Crawford reveals ‘inevitable’ hook-up with Gossip Girl co-star

Actor Chace Crawford reveals what went down behind the scenes on the hit teen drama Gossip Girl, including his secret hook-up with a co-star.

Chace Crawford is spilling the tea on his Gossip Girl hijinks.

The actor, who famously played Nate Archibald on all six seasons of the teen drama, confirmed that he once hooked up with one of his co-stars — but refused to name names.

Crawford made the bombshell confession on the latest episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, telling host Alex Cooper that hook-ups between castmates are “inevitable.”

“When you’re in your 20s or whenever, the thing is you’re on these things — people probably think it’s these sexy scenes or whatever, that’s like the worst part of it, with 60 people watching,” he said, noting that it’s “the downtime” that allows actors to truly connect with one another.

“You’re doing this show, you’re on set for like 12-14 hours a day and usually there’s some pretty interesting people from all walks of life.”

The actor said hooking up with a GG co-star was ‘inevitable’.

For Crawford, the “danger” was when he vibed with someone’s “sense of humour.”

He explained, “Like, if you have a rapport and can kind of banter, and give each other sh*t, I’m like, ‘Oh, I gotta watch out.’”

While The Boys star wouldn’t specify which co-star he hooked up with, he did suggest that he might’ve journeyed outside the show’s main cast members, which included Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Michelle Trachtenberg, Taylor Momsen and Jessica Szohr.

“There’s a lot of actors and people coming onto the show, over the years,” he said. “And I was fortunate enough to have friends in the city, they were actors but they were outside the show, and I had a really good friend group. And everyone else has their little friend group.”

Crawford continued, “So you meet people in that wider circle, it’s not just that tiny little circle. There’s a lot of people involved. But again, it was like our college experience.”

It’s no secret that Gossip Girl spawned several IRL romances. Lively and Penn Badgley publicly dated for three years, while Meester was linked to Sebastian Stan and Szohr and Ed Westwick had an on-again-off-again relationship from 2008 to 2010.

Crawford also revealed that he “absolutely” knew of other hidden romances among his castmates that he helped keep under wraps. But, for now, that’s a secret he’ll never tell.
