Hollywood couple Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell finally address wild sex rumour

Dax Shepard has opened up about the extremely raunchy speculation surrounding his longtime marriage to Kristen Bell.

Dax Shepard has finally addressed one of Hollywood’s wildest rumours.

The comedian, 49, set the record straight on claims that he and his wife of 11 years, Kristen Bell, are “swingers” on The Drew Barrymore Show.

“There was the most exciting tabloid story that we were Hollywood swingers and we hosted swing parties, this was in the tabloids,” Shepard told the TV host, adding that their famous friends started jokingly reaching out about scoring “invites” as the gossip became more widespread.

“My favourite part of that happening was we got a lot of texts from other friends of ours saying, ‘How could you not have invited me to the swinger party?’

“They were teasing, of course, because they know us and they know we are not hosting swinger parties.”

According to Shepard, even talk show host Jimmy Kimmel got in touch.

“I just thought that was great to receive a text from Kimmel saying, ‘My feelings are quite hurt that Molly [Kimmel’s wife] and I weren’t invited to this swingers party’ … It was very funny.

“There’s a lot of hot couples out there, but no, we have not crossed that divide with anyone.”

Shepard and Bell first met in 2004 at a mutual friend’s birthday dinner – but the actress admitted earlier this year that he didn’t leave a great first impression.

“All I remember from that night was, ‘That guy from [Punk’d] talks so much. Woah he’s chatty.’ We had no chemistry that night,” she said on Sirius XM’s Where Everybody Knows Your Name with Ted Danson & Woody Harrelson.

However, three years later, they again bumped into each other at a hockey game, where Shepard’s bizarre move unexpectedly won Bell over.

“We started talking and I was chewing gum and he said, ‘Do you have any more gum?’” she recalled.

“I said, No, just this,’ and I kind of coyly took it out of my mouth. And he grabbed it from me, and he goes, ‘I’ll take it.’

“Then he put it in his mouth, and I was like, ‘This guy wants to f**k me.’ [After] that I was absolutely smitten.”

They then started spending time together, with the Frozen actress instantly feeling “like a light switch went off”, and realising “this is it for me”.

The couple briefly broke up before reuniting and becoming engaged in 2010.

They wed in 2013 and are now parents to two daughters, Lincoln, 11, and Delta, nine.
