Blink 182 star Travis Barker’s heartwarming act in Perth hours before tour

Kourtney Kardashian’s husband had a sweet gesture for some salon workers ahead of his tour.

Blink 182 star Travis Barker is in Perth for the first stop on his band’s Australia tour, and when he bumped into some locals he had a seriously sweet gesture for them.

Barker flew to Australia on Tuesday with his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, and has since made his way across country to Perth.

Ahead of his band’s first date on their tour, Barker popped into a local salon to get himself a haircut before hitting the stage.

He didn’t have an appointment, and the baffled salon workers at Perth hair salon Hearts and Hues were stunned when the rock star strutted in looking for a trim.

The workers at the salon took to social media to share the story and reveal Barker’s heartwarming gesture to a “bunch of emo kids”.

“We can’t even believe it!” they wrote. “This guy rocked up on our doorstep. Sure, he might have been lost which lead him up our unassuming staircase, but he clearly ended up in the right place.”

They continued: “We are screaming crying throwing up, and thanks to the generosity of him and his crew, we have some tickets for tonight,’ they added. “What a wonderful and unexpected surprise for this bunch of emo kids. It’s not a phase.”

Barker and his Blink-182 bandmates, Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus, kick off their Aussie tour at Perth’s RAC Arena on Thursday. They will perform for Perth fans in a second show on Friday before rocking out in Adelaide, followed by multiple shows in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

This is Blink-182’s first time performing in Australia in seven years. They were last here for their world tour in 2013, but Barker did not join the band due to his fear of flying, which stemmed from surviving a plane crash in 2008. The drummer was on-board a small aircraft at the time alongside two pilots, his security guard, personal assistant, and friend and collaborator Adam Goldstein, aka DJ AM. But moments after the plane took off down the runway in South Carolina, they reported a big bang before it burst into flames on an embankment on the tarmac.

Barker and Goldstein managed to escape the aircraft by sliding down the wing, but they both suffered second-degree burns.
