Rufus Du Sol leads the 2022 ARIA Awards nominations

Rufus Du Sol leads the 2022 ARIA Awards nominations with seven nods for its fourth album.

The nominations for the 2022 ARIA Awards have been revealed and Rufus Du Sol leads the pack with seven nods.

The Sydney band was nominated for its fourth album, Surrender, in the Album of the Year, Best Group, Best Pop Release, Best Dance/Electronic Release, Best Video, Song of the Year and Producer – Best Produced Album categories.

Rufus Du Sol was closely followed by Flume and Amyl and The Sniffers were six nominations apiece.

Baker Boy, Vance Joy and The Kid Laroi scored five nominations while those in the four nods club were Julia Jacklin, Gang of Youths, King Stingray and Luude.

The awards are returning for its first in-person event since 2019, to be held on November 24 at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney. It will also be broadcast on Channel 9 and streamed on YouTube.

Natalie Imbruglia and Lewis Capaldi will host the ceremony, with the latter also set to perform on the night.
